Holy shit, that smug self-assurance. I’m a PK, with a father working in a thankfully liberal branch of Christianity, but growing up in and around the Church means I’ve run across many of this kind.

You don’t convince them, because they can’t be convinced. What you do is lay bare how ridiculous their nonsense is, so everyone in their periphery abandons them.

  You know, the idea of Kidd Commander having PK readers never occured to me and I’m delighted you’ve stuck around for my god bashing so far hee. This arc is 100% me working out my complicated feelings about my own (Aggressively Pentecostal lmao) religious upbringing so it might get a bit rough about sensitive topics for some readers, but as always I’m doing my very best to write a thoughtful story so really hope you like how everything shakes out!

Man I continue to just love how you do your villains. They’re always so real in that extra special way that makes them hit hard and close to home because they aren’t just cartoonish villains, they’re evil in a way that you could absolute meet in real life. I love it so much.

  Thank you so much!! I really like writing antagonists, but this arc especially really runs the risk of falling into the like. “oooh it’s a religion and everyone in it is BADWRONG it’s SO OBVIOUSLY CARTOONISHLY EVIL” trope, I’m trying to strike a good balance between not pulling any punches while also not just standing up Big Mean Targets for our Always Good And Right Heroes to knock over. I’m glad it’s working for you so far haha

  OH that’s his hat, it’s just been sitting on the table. It definitely got lost in the mud once i started putting the colors down, rip. Yeah though same idea!

I assure you, Brother, if she thought you fell into the category of “monster” as I believe you to be inferring….I’m near certain there would not be enough left of you to so much as converse with by now.

(Meanwhile that’s either Phin losing her cool (literally?) or Brokenspectre trying to show up have a “chat” with the guy, and they’re all acting so casual it’s like she needs to go to the bathroom or something.)
(Hard to tell, tricky angle…what’s that Ulrich is holding in panel 6? A water canteen or something?)
