So how fused with the Tain is Raven here? (Also what’s the Tain/Raven ratio?) Enough that it still sounds like Raven’s words, but that’s clearly a Tain voice.

  hmmmmn at this point I’d say it’s probably more of a Raven-flavored tain entity than a mix of the two

    Ya’know, on the one hand, that sounds exceptionally badass on the scale built thus far for Kidd Commander.
    
    On the other hand, this guy DID rewrite at least some of the will of HASTUR, so I really feel like I shouldn’t be surprised.

      That’s kind of a good way to put it actually! I spoke about it on twitter a lonnnng time ago when the pages where Phineas was possessed were current, but basically since the tain don’t have any real substance themselves, each time they latch on to a personality they do absorb some of it. So like, if Ulrich was possessed he would act distinctly different than Phineas did, but he would still be totally at the tain’s beck and call.
      
      Raven’s pretty far gone at this point, but the fact that he’s still fighting with the interest of furthering his own agenda means he’s still sort of in control to some extent I suppose. What a cheater.

        So it’s like 80% Tain and 20% of your control or personality surviving even when completely possessed, except Raven’s just bonkers insane on any scale anyone can find (from badass to just straight-up crazy), it’s more like the other way around, being 80% Raven 20% Tain.
        
        And to think Gideon’s supposed to be obscenely powerful compared to that. (He’s probably on the scale of fighting whatever Last Chance had to deal with when Hastur showed up, by hand, isn’t he? (Maybe not win but at least give one hell of a good fight, and nothing worse than a draw at most.))
