You know those’re mainland birds.
She can’t fly back to her nest in this rain and we could be a ways down the river by the time it quits.
Might not be a bad idea to carry her across the creek.

Agatha:
. . . should we? In this weather?
And Toulouse said the forest is dangerous.

Lillian:
Not for me it ain’t.
Ought to be an easy crossin’ right close by.

Agatha:
