Also interesting: I think better get what Lil was trying to do on page GTS 108.

I appreciate that she tried, if I’m right (though she probably just did it for her prophet), but informing her decision to destroy something (using destroy rather than kill for representation of her perspective) on the result is just so many leaps of logic.

I wonder if she was different “before everything went bad” or the same. And if she got where she is for her interpretation and unquestioning attitude rather than the seemingly more laudable elements we’ve seen.

  I can’t talk toooo much about Lil just yet, but I do wanna say between the comment section and the discord it’s been validating hearing people are like Thinking about her as a character with motivations and such. I’ve mentioned elsewhere that she’s loosely based on my own grandmother who was eaten up by Christianity (which ftr doesn’t mean y’all gotta treat the character with kid gloves or anything pff), so it’s cool that people don’t see her as like. idk, just a cardboard cultist I guess haha

    Yeah! It’s great that she has some real depth.
    
    Also yeah, no kid gloves for her ^^ There is some stuff I’ve held off saying, but it’s more because I realized how it could read to the general audience, but I’m giving her the same amount of courtesy I try to give a rando on twitter.
    
    That is to say, I try to be understanding and listen (within reason), but if they start acting like a villain, I’m not going to lose sleep trying to defend them, and may even have some bad words to share ^^

I cannot explain how bad I’ve felt about how much everyone liked Grandmoth, knowing what was coming since this arc started lmaooo

Ohhhhhhh. She isn’t after Agatha because she’s a machine. She’s after the Tain.

Okay, that makes sense. Given what we’ve seen of the Tain so far, I can sorta understand why those who don’t know the details about this particular one might go “kill it with fire/water.”

Still doesn’t make Grandma’s actions great (“this is for your own good” personally makes me want to reach out and touch someone at Mach 3), but at least it’s not a totally irrational response to literal sentient darkness/evil landing on your doorstep.

  Yeah this sucks for sure but Agatha’s definitely an unsettling lady, full stop. Like I know we’re in a comic about Accepting Yourself but even noon was like HEY ARE YOU SURE when she first made friends with Vane and that last panel looks an awful lot like how exorcisms get once the demon realizes it’s been caught hehe

  OH I didn’t realize that at all! I was assuming it was android=abomination, too.
  Doesn’t make this forgivable, but okay, yes Grandmoth she is carrying darkness. On her shoulder and giving it little pats occasionally.
