Davis’ expression is hard to read… it’s not resignation or anger as far as I can tell… not quite boredom. Acceptance? But that doesn’t seem to match what we’ve seen of him so far. I’m really curious what he’s thinking. Interesting too how Toulouse seems more bothered. Wonder if he was calm before because he was under the mistaken impression this was fixable.

  Davis is such a weirdly fuckin complicated character to write for, these preacher types are ALSO oldass men who have seen a lifetime’s worth of shit and carry all the exhaustion that comes with it on top of whatever the fuck their religion did to them and outside of sermons they do NOT usually care to explain themselves. This might end up being a thing I get to talk about after the arc’s over if people still have questions haha

Toulouse progression has been real interesting. His first show of being prophet I thought maybe was just a show but then we get private moments like this, just people who already knew him expecting the real thing. It’ll be good to see where he stands after this corrupted god arc pans out. Kinda hopin Phin collects him

Oh no, I didn’t think about how Tolouse would feel responsible for this, and for fixing it, but of course he does. He’s been officially responsible for everything since he was born, it seems like, and everyone’s going to blame him for letting our heroes in. 🙁
