Every time I think I know what’s up with Ulrich, he reveals a new facet…! It’s like playing poker and suddenly the table takes out a deck of tarot cards without explaining everything.

Needless to say, I love him even more now.

    i could imagine a chapter cover page with people playing at a poker table but using tarot cards but instead they have the main characters on them.

      I love tarot cards tbh, there’s definitely going to be some kc tarot stuff going on when we get a few more folks in the cast!

  I’ve seen a character in a different comic more messed up than Ulrich.
  But comparing Ulrich to Kano just seems cruel to…um, probably everything. Including comparisons.

The hallucination is busy doing things? Like….still doing own shows and whatnot, or just imaginary mentor nagging since that’s what mentor would be expected to do too? (Or are there some cobwebs that need sorting in his head that are still being worked on?)

Also, how much of this affects real-world? Wake up Ulrich what does this dooooooo

There is such an interesting connection between the mental, spiritual, and physical planes in this world. Things like “Patron Saints” are actual entities created by human desire, Stars manifest as actual rocks that have souls and incredible metaphysical powers. It’s enough to keep you wondering how much of scenes like this one are simply metaphors and how much is really happening.

I love this comic so much! Can’t wait to get a little more of Ulrich’s backstory!

  maybe eye swapping is a real simple procedure nowadays. got little outlets for it at the strip mall

  I’d lean more towards it just being a reflection of his own injury, or maybe the scar can be pushed off onto Bel? She’s just in his head, probably serving several functions, and one of them could be to help keep him aware of when something’s cracked. It’s not so visible of an injury to normies, but it showing up on Bel could be one of the ways he’s kept aware of it. (Think I’m more interested in how it changes when he “scars over”….)
