Since all my summer conventions are cancelled, I’ve listed the last handful of Volume 3 copies I have in the shop! My printer has also shut down for the time being, so if you think you might like one now’s the time to get it. I also finally got around to taking some cute new photos of the volumes, maybe u would be interested.

  Also, I didn’t process this the first time I read the script but WHY DOES THE SPIDER HAVE MUSHROOMS GROWING OUT OF IT WHAT!?!?!

    Symbiosis. Bugs come to eat the mushrooms and get eaten by the spider: the spider gets a guaranteed source of food (and camouflage against predation); the mushrooms get protection from hungry insects.
    
    Alternatively, it could be the arachnid equivalent of Ophiocordyceps and it’s just too bad for the spider.
    
    the gripping hand is the possibility that the artist thought it would make a cool little thing and that’s as deep as it goes.

I’m not sure if I should go “I guess it’s humid then” from Ulrich or think that Toulouse is a bit of a worrier. (I mean, “low branch”? It’s still taller than her.) Except he’s clearly not a worrier with that spider thing on his hand and he’s just “oh hey look at that whadd’ya know”….
