I’ve held off commenting a few other times (mainly: Ulric you fought someone randomly with no intent to kill, and you didn’t expect to immediately become friends? Do you know what genre you are in?) but a thing I’ve been noticing is: Phineas might act offbeat and un-serious, and might be confusing, but she does seem to focus on important/relevant things. She just doesn’t show her work, metaphorically (mood)

I love characters who seem like they’re just spouting non sequiturs, but it’s all actually pertinent information/questions, their train of thought just jumped ahead a few steps and they keep forgetting not everyone’s keeping up.
