EDIT 4/17: HI FRIENDS comics are coming, it’s just slower going this week because i got TOO EXCITED doing the last page and my wrist has been feeling funky. Nothing major! It’s on the way out, update in the next couple days hopefully.

Flashing back to the “good, good” line(s) from Palpatine at climax of Return of the Jedi, when everything Luke does to fight him pleases him.

  for having never seen the movie i apparently really gravitate towards Palpatine type villains hee

    Palpatine is a classic “behind-the-scenes” villain. He operates in broad daylight as a good guy, a keystone of the beauracracy. Everyone trusts and protects him while he subtly masterminds the actions of the anti-Jedi order (the Sith) and directs the opponents of the faction he’s pretending to help lead.
    
    He literally plays one side openly and the other side in the shadows and does such a masterful job of it that by the time everyone clues into his true identity, it’s already far too late and his plans come to complete fruition. He ends up single-handedly bringing about the downfall of the old Republic, the near-extinction of the ancient Jedi order, and installing himself as the tyrannical Emperor of the new Empire that springs from the ashes, complete with a brainwashed army that serves him without hesitation and an obedient disciple who is one of the most powerful Force warriors to ever have existed.

      GENERALLY i like when antagonists aren’t 100% Evil BadMan so the conflict feels a little more interesting, but man sometimes it’s fun to just set up a big ugly thing for your protags to knock over

The mind, it wanders. And it landed on this and thought of a few things.

Like the part where there isn’t a fascination. There’s you, basically showing off your favorite slave, and how they have a lack of decision in anything, someone being offended by that, and you responding to their being offended with confusion, violence, and blatantly being worse just because of their being offended.

Or an easy joke about how if commanders are only good at violence, that makes the crew so far….”his brains, her brawn”?

My favorite thought of the bunch though is the claim Monty’s making about “she just wants my servant”. Yes, that’s true, but she’s not forcing the matter because of that: she’d respect Agatha’s decision. Her issue is that Agatha doesn’t get a decision.
She’s not taking Agatha to be part of her crew. She’s just getting her away from you. (The word is not kidnapping or theft, it’s rescue.)
