I don’t get some of this, humans and other humanish creatures are fundamentally social creatures and from that humans have evolved to feel and project how they’re feeling in myriad different ways, it is nigh impossible to not do so to some extent. But if something evolved independently without a subconscious social layer there doesn’t seem to be any reason to communicate in that way asides from intent, even assuming such a being has emotions as we understand them which seems strange. Even if the shell that a mind develops in appears human and it was made to act human that doesn’t seem to be any guarantee that the mind that develops would be human or could be understood by thinking of it as a human. I think. Are they patterned after human brains? Is there an anthoposising force? Do they happen when some magic user treats them as human and the world changes to match?
