I love how you show her reading Agatha’s “self” with the circuitry, along with the effect she has on it with the coloration. It’s such a beautiful depiction of what’s going on behind all the words and it’s one of the things I’ve always loved about this comic.

Multiple levels of control. A being that truly knows itself is limited only by desire and patterns. As I see it playing out, it seems Agatha could have overridden the blocks on her behavior long ago. She doesn’t believe she DESERVES to. Our dear little monster saw the robot mask go back up, and knows the chains holding her to be of thinnest paper. They might as well be Adamantine from the gods, because they are not being strained against.

Aaaah~!! Those panels! Someday, I aspire to wrap my characters in such beautiful art. I especially love the lightshow in the middle. And the cut to the birds is just touching.

… Also, that verbal stumbling, and Phin’s impassioned speech.. if there were emojis in this comment system, I would flood this with excited/sparkling eyes. I may have to drop into DC just for that 🙂 This page makes me so happy.

  yeeeah phin has trouble with boundaries sometimes. She never MEANS to be uncomfortable she’s just. Kinda like a dog who gets too excited and starts knocking shit over and jumping up at guests lmao
