Absolutely in love with how Phin is interacting with the panels, your depiction of how Toulouse’s power breaks down the comic’s medium is always fantastic but this layout is especially brilliant.

Goodness the imagery is beautiful. At first I simply looked at Phin, trying to… lift Toulouse up? Support? Pull out of treacherous waters? But then… the hands at the top, the way way the script interjects, the manifestations of Mana and “Azusa”, there, but irrelevant to the two connecting… It’s a lot. It’s heavy <3
I wonder how many times. How many people… Reached out in this sea of suffering before?

Love Phineas’ soul casually slipping past the 4th wall bc she heard religion-sourced trauma (and her friend badmouthing himself). Is it metaphorical? Literal? Happening in their meatspace or totally apart from it? The ambiguity enhances the message imo
