if you’ve never seen someone wake up while on life support let me assure you it’s usually pretty ugly

Been there done that, including waking up in the middle of surgery with a tube down my throat, so I can see this won’t be pleasant.
That said, hauling stuff out of your own eyes is a bad way to wake up at any point.
