I’m betting next panel he explodes into meat chunks. If Ray has Jackson pollock vision and thinks its a good idea to rush two people with one knife then he’s probably not going to stop when he hears a bullet. When we first saw hazard back at Sergis, None of the miners got close to him, stopping a few meters in-front of him. similar to how ray just kind of stopped.

Can’t tell if the mentioned repetition is from the flashback at Sergis, If Crow and Raven got their first ship by beating up the local mob boss who had a mysterious connection to Crows mentor and they also beat up Two Face at some point, or if Hastur is messing with the timeline and the reason rays actions are so similar is because this scene and the first fight scene kind of blend together when she though of interaction between Phineas and Ray, and when trying to set it straight she just kind of ended up copy-pasting Rays actions for both encounters.

The action in this scene is really well done, good work Aria!

It’s interesting to note that in Ray’s crazy anger vision, Phin’s hair is even more boofy than usual 😉

This is why rereads are important. Really drives home how each Arc is about unknowingly repeating events, in ever tighter and tighter circles. Amidst the backdrop of Phineas echoing the exact journey her adoptive caregivers went on that destroyed their universe.

Circles into circles into circles, trying to find a way to break the cycle and burst free into something new.
