Oh man, we haven’t even begun to see what a twerp Baby Phineas was heee

Aww, she’s just learning.

Is the energy commanders tap into from the planet or the sun? Under your feet seems to imply it’s the planet but throughout this entire comic filled with celestial metaphors it’s always been about stars and sometimes moons. Planets haven’t been mentioned yet.
And I’m kinda confused by the greeney-blueish energy as a whole. It’s large enough so anywhere you are are can use it, but it’s less powerful than the star-stone in the mines which Phineas could only access when she was standing inside it?
Also we finally meet Crow Gideon and i’m not entirely convinced he has eyeballs.

HMN I don’t want to give away too much here since we’re gonna go over this stuff at length, but man I hate having to keep brushing off perfectly good questions hehe. I CAN point to at least one part of this being addressed in an earlier scene so I think it would be okay to elaborate a tiny bit.
It’s been established (although it was said by Phin, who isn’t always a reliable narrator) that the sun is the origin of energy for this planet, and that living things also generate their own energies. A planet is technically inorganic itself, but its core resonates with the collective life force of all the things it sustains and constant communication with its star for however long it’s been in orbit. This kind of energy, cultured by a body designed to sustain life, tends to be much more gentle than energy redirected from kinetic or conscious sources, and is largely used for meditative purposes.
In this vein, a moon does not generate its own light, but reflects the light of its star.
Energy color is definitely a weird thing; so far I think we’ve seen Phineas use three different shades with no direct mention of why that happens. That one, and more about starstone mechanics, we’re probably gonna have to get to a little later. Although this chapter still has quite a bit to say regarding stones, haha.
As I’ve said a hundred times, your guys’ patience while I deliver my story at its glacial pace is very much appreciated! <3 No one is more frustrated than I am, trust me. working on getting five extra robot arms attached so i can go faster

oh and as far as eyeless gideon goes, good lord, with the way eyes have been treated in the story so far i wouldn’t fault that assumption at all
Wereael
he has special eyes ( ͡⚆ ͜ʖ ͡⚆) look, look with your special eyes

Remember how somebody (I think Phineas?) said that Gideon wore his star like a piece of jewelry? Well I’m wondering if that “target/eye”necklace in panels 8 and 9 is it. And if so, does that make those tattoos on Phin’s hands her “bond” per-say with her star? Hmm, questions questions…
Awwwwww… S’almost too much for a page, the emotion is overwhelming. Lil Phineas AND Gideon, speaking, learning, teaching, commanding, aw aw aw. And the colors! And the sunflowers… Aww.
He is relieved she got it.
Nice hat. Nice smile. Three pieces of jewelry, at least (lots of circles). Visible scars.
I’m looking forward to knowing him better (suppose we’ll have to wait for that to happen though?)
