Seriously though, it’s nice to get some details on Commanding through use of a cogent metaphor.

  To be perfectly honest I’m astounded at how patient all you guys have been while I’ve put off explaining the mechanics of a central story concept for over 200 pages. I’ve gotten a lot of people who are excited to know more about it but not one person complained about how long it was taking. I really appreciate all of you :U I promise I’ll do my best to make my story worth the time it takes to read it.

    I think everyone’s interested because it’s in the title and it’s clearly an important concept to the story, but it hasn’t come so often that we haven’t had other fun things to distract us (Ulrich’s tricks, bunneh magic etc).

    I think you are moving the story along at a fine pace; I haven’t felt like you have strung out any part of it to delay telling the “secret” of commanding. It’s all flowing together and feels perfect.
