She’s quick. We had weeks to get used to those ideas, but she had to think real fast to understand all of this.

  Phin’s empathy stat is pretty excellent in general, but it also helps that she went through basically this exact situation and is already very familiar with how Raven’s feeling. The “I got screwed over by Crow Gideon club” is fairly small but it’s about the same story every time.

    Hmm. But how long will it take to get there?
    (Funny story, you thought this “first arc” would be short. Was reading another comic, and they recently said they hit the end of the “first arc”…of what I figured was closer to the end of the comic. Considering their archive has dates going back ten years now….FIRST ARC?!)
    
    So relax. You’re moving along briskly by comparison, assuming this visit to Last Chance is the “first arc”. (Totally hoping this gets an archive of over 10 years, too. No pressure. ;P (The comic in total, i mean, not just Last Chance. No offense to them, but….a change of scenery would be nice, once in a while, you know?))

      Phin and Jo will be chatting relatively soon! Very soon, compared to some of the other stuff I’ve said is coming in the future haha.
      
      That means a lot actually <3 I'm super self-conscious about how long KC is, partially because I really hope it's feasible for me to be physically able to tell this story, partially because I hope people want to READ such a long story. I've said before One Piece is a big inspiration to the like, format I want to do, and while it's not planned to be quite THAT long page-wise I hope readers are into kc enough to stick with it like they do with op.
      
      And don't worry, we'll be changing gears a lot in kc. I get real bored drawing the same kinds of places all the time so I wrote a world that's different everywhere you go. We'll be seeing lots of cool places!

        Two of the webcomics I remember as being some of the early ones I started reading, when I caught up to their updates, were ~3-4 years ago. Got time. (I better have time. Plus it just makes it more fun for the archive binges.)
        
        On the one hand, can’t wait to see all the places. On the other hand, don’t want to rush things.
        
        What I need is a time machine to hop ahead 30 years to not have to wait for archives to catch up. 🙁 Oh well, guess since I can’t get it back from the alternate timeline where it existed in the first place, I’m just stuck on the slow path here.

You know, panel 7, I thought he meant showing up in Last Chance at all. But panel 8 came pretty quick so I didn’t get to misinterpret that for long. (Or maybe that wasn’t a misinterpretation and it just moved along pretty quickly?)

Man this page feels like it goes in so many different directions at the same time and after another (at the same time (:P)) that it’s hard to come up with something not as long as the page itself for a comment. (So I think I’ll stick with just this, at least for now.)
