This page is so sweet though, we haven’t seen enough of Jo trying to parent and kid Phin being…a handful.

  There’s always been this trope of cutting off long hair to signify growth but like. It always turns out so neat and perfect?? It’s hard to cut off a ton of hair like that, I’ve always wanted to see it come out real ugly lookin hehe. gotta earn the boof

    Do you know Witchy comic? Not so neat and perfect, there.
    But yes, I cut a lot of hair in my life, even my own, and often it’s not really good looking for a while… That will also be much less work for Jo, won’t it? (This sketch is still one of my favorite). Two birds with one stone.

  This explains the hair though. Jo isn’t exactly the best person to learn to cut your own hair from, when she doesn’t have any (being a rooster).

Jo cut apparently the worst hairstyle ever to where Phin just laughs about how terrible it is….and never changes the hair, ever.

Does she love how stupid it looks, do it to mess with Jo, do it to mess with others (and/or see if they’ll comment on how dumb it is)…or does she actually like it despite how apparently stupid it looks?

(Never really thought it looked that dumb myself. Phin’s hair. She wants to wear it that way, it’s her problem. (Especially when she’s capable of punching a face the way she’s capable of punching a face. Pretty much anybody except Jo says her hair looks stupid, I expect them to be backing it up with some fleeing, or bleeding.))

In any case, the streak of loving almost every page that goes through here…continues. (I say “almost”, since…while I don’t remember any pages I didn’t find awesome, there might’ve been a couple. But still, it’s quite the lengthy streak. Something like 300 or 400 pages. ;P)

    Silly hair is subjective. And silly hair suits a silly person. So really, the hair suits her pretty well.
    
    Though, from the angle in that last panel, I’d say if you just flatten that it wouldn’t look that different from my hair. (Well, on the nearer side, anyway. And obviously not pink. And maybe I’m wrong about my description. Sometimes bad at descriptions. Especially for hair.)
