  He actually gets jumpier when he’s relaxed because he’s not expecting anything, hehe. It’s easier to let your guard down on your isolated little airship.

    Yeah, I can definitely relate to that. I just think it’s funny we’re 7 pages in now and he’s already had two moments like that, three if you count his moment of stress waking up from a bad dream. Heh

I was kind of wondering how long it would take for Jo to show up, after what Hazard told her, though I suppose she knew he “lost” the same way everyone else did.
She didn’t answer the question I notice 😉 Kind of seems like Phin wasn’t told so much about her and Crow’s past.

  She might have! iiii think i should have probably stuck in an extra panel, but some time passed between phin going outside and jo showing up so they talked at least a lil bit. Ulrich’s workstuff all over the table was supposed to suggest that but I realized after I finished that we hadn’t seen the table without it in the last segment so we could also assume it had already been sitting there, whoops.

Probably just anything that mildly annoys Jocasta Hubris. And like, at least four cigarettes a day.

And yet I think the most curious thing is that she stuttered before settling with “my mom” to describe Jo. Very curious.

(That is a huge breath that Ulrich’s letting out though in that panel, jeez. 30% more than both lungs full of air?)

  The M Word has always been just a tiiiiny bit awkward, because Jo and Phin are both idiots. Phin will use it when Jo isn’t around and Jo has referred to her as her kid before but they would both get real flustered if they did it while they were in the room together.

    So while they might admit to being adopted family, they also just will die of embarrassment if the other is also in the room at the same time.
