it’s cool

You’ve probably heard about it by now but in case you missed it: I finally hit the wall with Patreon and announced I won’t be taking new supporters there after August 31st. A lot of folks have moved to ko-fi or paypal already, you do not HAVE to do this, but if you’re currently pledging or considering using Patreon to support Kidd Commander you should really take a look at the public post.

The course of action I outlined in the post is still mostly set to happen, but I’ve been thinking a lot about the comment section. One person I heard from was also pissed off about Patreon’s behavior and was happy to be informed about their practices, and one person very politely suggested I keep the lines open for the good of the comic, which really can’t afford to turn away any help right now. You can read all these posts and my responses over there to get up to speed, and if you have thoughts do share them (I’m still struggling to read the comment section here, but Lee The Moderator will pass along anything important). Like I said in response to the reader feedback on the Patreon post, I think y’all are getting the worst of this shit at the end of the day and that really pisses me off, but if enough readers feel strongly about it I’ll figure out some sort of compromise here. Patreon can kick rocks I don’t give a shit what else they do at this point, but if YOU guys would like for me to do something specific I’m always happy to hear y’all out.

ANYway, shop’s closed until I get back from FCCC next week (remember, the vendor hall is ONLY open on Saturday and Sunday so I won’t be around on Friday), then whatever books I got left will be back in stock! After these go I probably won’t order more until Volume 4 gets ordered in a couple months, and then it’ll probably take a while for THAT order to come in and ship out, so consider your options carefully. Sure is nice to have a regular printer again tho i tell you hwhat
