Guessing the scar and fake(?) eye had a lot to do with the sudden estrangement. Probably also connected to Ulrich’s false teeth, mangled ear, and hearing aid; likely all caused by silverspeak.

  I’ve been afraid to really respond in any way to the theorizing on this page partially because I don’t want to spoil anything but also I don’t want to influence anything yall might come up with, I fuckin live for fan theories hee
  
  I WILL SAY I’m just Delighted that somebody picked up on how most of the magic we’ve seen in KC causes physical wear on the user’s body and that you applied it to silverspeak, it’s really encouraging to be reminded people are paying attention to this stuff haha

So, what you’re saying is…Ulrich’s secrets still trump your own.
If only because you can’t get anything on him, but he just walked right into your labs, making it look like he should’ve given you handicaps.

In that respect, he certainly does live up to what he claimed to be in the first place: a professional.

(As for what went down….brain can’t currently seem to process it straight, so can’t make any guesses right now. That said, that’s quite the “mob boss” look there, kinda….very curious all around.)

Because those are two very different things, even if Goddard doesn’t realize it.

  I really love writing Ulrich’s dialogue because it’s all super intentional, compared to the other protagonists. Coming up with backhanded ways to say things or phrases that could mean several things is a fun challenge 😀
