I know this isn’t what ur implying but JUST FOR THE BENEFIT OF ANY OTHER CONCERNED PARTIES WHO MIGHT BE READING THIS: my apartment full of various plastic animes will hopefully denote this isn’t some kind of weird meta potshot at my readers or people who are enthusiastic about things! Monty’s collection is creepy for lots of Other Reasons that will hopefully become apparent when we get some more pages up, hehe

that said, yeah tho, fandoms can get real entitled and spooky euuuugh. Fortunately kc’s base has been real chill so far and I appreciate it immensely 😀

  I don’t have a problem with fandoms, and most fans are chill like you say, but the rare few who put too much effort into it are where the lines get blurred. Monty seems like one of the latter, particularly given that Ulrich’s reaction seems shaken, not stirred.

  Pretty sure you’ve said the exact reason you’re different from Monty there in your own disclaimer of trying to say how you’re like him. You have various “plastic animes” and they’re “around your apartment”: not a 103% collection of anything specific… in a secret room. (And possibly something stolen from the man himself as part of that extra 3%.)

    YE mostly I was just a lil worried it could come off as me shitting on enthusiasts or like. Some kind of roundabout way of being shitty towards my own readers who like Ulrich, which is a thing other media does sometimes that I absolutely hate. Most of y’all in this comment section who know me probably don’t need to be told that, but now I have a statement for any future Tumblr Receipt Blogs that will inevitably crop up about kc in the future lmao

      You’re assuming someone’s even in his library looking for a secret room. Or even knows to look for a secret room. There’s also the part where he tried to “hide” it at all…suggesting he might not want everyone knowing how….more-than-slightly obsessive he is.

      Bah – assuming nothing. Monty himself blatantly calls it out as cheesy theatre. If it’s show related, and if someone knows he’s a fan, that won’t be hard to figure out. If they don’t and / or are looking for something else, then yeah, what you say applies. I mean, I see a bust of Shakespeare IRL I have to resist a mild urge to pull it like a lever – same might apply to people in KC.

Can’t wait to see how Ulrich handles this monumentally awkward situation, it’s somehow worse when you realise Monty even styled his hair just like Ulrich.

*edit* Is what I WOULD say, if I didn’t look back and find that his colour palette (clothes, nails, hair and even eyecolour) seems to change freely between his appearances.

Coupled with the casual disregard for Agatha, and now this 101% shrine, I think we’re getting a hell of a lot of foreshadowing. Looking forward to seeing how this shakes out!

…you’re not about to try to add Cheshire himself to your “collection”, are you? Because I think that would give him reason enough to be okay with Phin swiping Agatha by any means possible. (And probably help.)
