That’s right, you’ve been told twice, YOU WILL NOT BE TOLD AGAIN.

well. I can see the whole pride angle now

I love this. Not just demanding a fight with something that may or may not be able to erase your existence forever, but demanding it hurry up and decide there’s going to be a fight or not.
“We throwing down, or not? I’m late for kicking someone else’s ass.”
Glorious.

Hee! She does make a habit of that sort of thing.

Just one of the myriad of reasons this is awesome to read.

So here I am, late, on the end of a year….and conversation in a chat room somehow led me to telling someone else in another timezone (for them it’s already 2017, and for me, it’s still 2016) to let the next year know I was coming for it.
In a manner not unlike Phin’s phrasing on the previous page. “I’m coming for you.”
Leading me to wonder if fireworks at midnight at the start of a new year weren’t celebratory, but rather, were basically just coming out swinging. In other words, what she says on this page: “a declaration of war”.
I can totally now picture someone someone staring at the year on a calendar starting on the next day, thinking…“Bring it.”
(And/or you’re killing the previous year with the fireworks…..but that’s not as funny to me for some reason.)
