    Even if you did that to us, I would still have the greatest respect for you for setting this all up for a gag like that to unexpectedly end it. And then say all innocently “What, her name is Phin, why are you all surprised?” 😀

      haha, oddly enough when I first wrote this arc’s story WAYYYY back in the earliest developmental stages of KC, it was going to be an experimental story that would just be one self-contained thing and end once we were done in Last Chance. I’m real glad I didn’t listen to Literally Everyone insisting I waste time on a “practice” story and instead jumped into one I could take more seriously! And also, like, the one I actually WANT to be writing heh.
      
      This first arc’s been a little rough as a result of me learning, but I feel a lot more accomplished having spent the last couple years laying down work for a bigger story I’m still very much in love with instead of having a bunch of little one-offs I ultimately don’t care about.

….I just now noticed how weird Gideon’s house looks….(well, compared to “normal” houses for us….)

    The boat with the little umbrella (and the flag on top) is kinda what I was referring to. It doesn’t immediately remind me of anything else though, so not sure if we’ve seen it elsewhere or not.

        For some reason I thought of Artemis Ascending, so I went to a few pages before Silverspeak. Apparently I went for the wrong view.
        
        At least, I presume it’s the same ship and it just got obliterated so had to be rebuilt from scratch which is why it’s so different now, and not a completely different ship. (Gotta wonder who designed that one though…it looks like 6+ different designs smushed together.)
