        Considering Gideon, something tells me at the very least, even if it is “just a compass”, it’s got some kind of value behind it, sentimental or not.

        He did use it as a radio! That’s all we’ve really seen it do so far, besides I guess inspiring fascination in turtles.

        Thinking you might’ve linked a page early for the text you used, buuuut you did link to where that compass clearly looked a tad broken. (That’s one hell of a long-distance “radio”…)

        I thought it might be useful to link to where we actually see the compass clearly, since uh, that old art makes it sort of hard to tell in the panels I was referencing hhh

        Yes, it’s been used as a radio, but Aria said somewhere that any kind of box could be used for a radio piece of starstone, so I suppose that doesn’t affect the first use of the compass itself…

You know, I’ve been reading those four pages at least ten times since they’re up here, and each time I reach this one, I see “page 404” up there and I’m worried for a few seconds. Getting old, huh.

I get your point, but then, why did she take it out of “her” pocket and look at it? She might have just wanted a night-light near her couch, huh? Well, as long as the turtle was pleased, I suppose we should be satisfied with this explanation too.
