      WAY BACK on page 128, Ulrich handed Ellie a weird lookin paper flower. It didn’t seem like a big deal at the time. http://kiddcommander.com/?comic=page-128
      
      While Ellie was transforming she burnt up the trinket, which simultaneously caused some kind of disturbance in Ulrich’s left ear. http://kiddcommander.com/?comic=page-192
      
      So, here, we find out he has some kind of earpiece and we can make some inferences. I don’t think it’s like ULTRA CLEVER WRITING or whatever, but webcomic time is super super slow so some of this stuff gets lost sometimes! I hope this helps a little bit, I want folks to get everything they can out of my comic so please always feel free to ask more questions if anything’s ever unclear.

        Well, I remember that, because when he felt this disturbance I checked back to see again what happened with Ellie and the flower, but (maybe because English is not my first language), I don’t understand what are the “bugs” @Amaaré spoke about?

        Ohh! “Bug” is slang for like a wiretap, like if you hide a microphone or a camera in a room to spy on somebody the room is “bugged.” I guess that IS kind of a nonsense term now that I think about it haha

        I only knew about the bugs in computer programs. Well, also about the little things that fly or crawl, and are an enchantement to watch…
