AH! Law of Chekov’s Gun! If it isn’t going to be fired, it shouldn’t be hanging there! He spent two panels picking up the sandwich! It actually is poisoned!

Of course I may be theorizing wildly, but this still seems like a lot more focus put into him picking up the sandwich than is strictly necessary.

As much as I like to Phin get beaten through various representations of Hazards Psyche I love me some world building! This Dusk guy worries me, mostly because He put the Tain there in the first place doesn’t that technically make him stronger than Hazard and his consciousness is strong enough to resist a reality rewrite because he remembers that Last chance has Volatile Tain beneath it, something that Hasturs rewrite Should have fixed.
And well, just the name, Phineas is constantly associated with sunlight and daytime, and Dusk being the darkest time after sunset, Makes me think Dusk is gonna be pretty bad news. (heavy speculation territory) There could also be some sort of parallel relationship between Phineas and Dusk, and that Dusk could possibly be a Dark Commander. Then again, Phineas is mostly associated with late mornings and early afternoons so a character named or associated with Dawn is probably the best candidate for a parallel. Again, still not sure, he could just have an edgy name. Looking forward to the next update!

Cutting away from the action at the critical moment, you tease Aria.
Eisse though, now there’s someone who definitely thinks she knows more than she does, it’s a fair bet this “Dusk” is after more than she realises.

“Dusk” suggested a place with Starstone for someone looking to experiment with Tain. Suggested location was altered by an Elder God and shouldn’t even exist right now. Also wants employees close and using his money instead of their own, possibly as a method of control via dependence.

Possible Bigger Bad Located. New objective: Seek and ~~destroy~~ figure out what they’re up to, want, and are capable of. (Added to Phin’s To-do list.)
