One of Ulrich’s uncles was a robot? I’m tempted to say that explains a lot, but that would be mean.

Phin’s scruffy arse turning up at a fancy restaurant can’t help but cause minor staff consternation.

So I’m thinking Phin’s just outraged at the idea that people can treat the android like dirt and it won’t care. But other possibilities exist–like Phin has recognized that it was offended before and feels like it’s lying now. Or, Phin is concerned that (if it has no “feelings” circuits) it has no empathy capacity and could be dangerous as a result. Or I could be projecting.
