Man, Phin’s pride never really jumped out at me before but on this page it’s almost breathtaking. I mean, she’s doing good things with it right now, but damn. That’s gonna bite her in the butt at some point.
Aria
That IS a thing that tends to happen to prideful people, huh
Nandan
Let’s hope then that when it does, she can muster humility enough to grow in character and wisdom.
But I do get the feeling that character development is on the menu. 🙂

Always!

But her pride determines the magnificence of her hair! I don’t want it to change:(

Not entitled. A title earned. A title etched into her with fire and pain.
If none of the so-called major players want to listen to the little people, then she’ll be the one who does. (Maybe it’s because she still remembers that she was one of them, or doesn’t want to make any of them go through what she did just so they too can have a listened-to voice.)
The town can burn. She has no interest in owning it, and thus no stake in it’s existence. If the people who lived there didn’t care to keep it intact, that’s hardly her fault unless they asked for her help keeping it unscorched. The people are fine, except the idiot who started it. (Who was your side, killed by your side, and she asked “What the hell is wrong with you?!” to the person who killed him.)
If anything I’d say her pride is only potentially matched by her compassion. She’ll go up against things best described as “that thing“. She’ll let people think whatever they want of her to keep them comfortable. She’ll leave be their half-truths, their lies, their wounds, to keep them happy.
Hardly sounds like traits of a person wholly governed by greed.
Sage
wait. Is she going to fight the water wizard. on WATER?!?
but i love her passion, though i have a feeling her pride is going to get her ass kicked one of these days, and kind of soon
